Week 12 brings us a match on Jan 5th where Al Shabab will travel to Mecca to battle Al Wahda in a meeting of these two extremely mismatched Pro League teams. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 8 degrees, so hopefuly the match makes up for the weather. 13th placed Al Wahda is fresh off their 0-0 scoreless draw against Al Adalh. Al Wahda had 8 on net, and Al Adalh had 8, but no one could beat the goalie, and the game ended in a 0-0 draw,. Al Wahda looks to improve on their recent performance, having lost 5 of their last 10, while 2nd placed Al Shabab is fresh off their 3-0 shutout win against Al Ittifaq. Santi Mina scored the first goal for Al Shabab in the 21st minute, then Iago Santos added another in the 1st minute of the first half’s stoppage time At the end of 90 a dissapointed Al Ittifaq couldn’t manage to score, and Al Shabab took the shutout win. Al Shabab is on a hot streak lately, having won 8 of their last 10 matches.
This will be the first match for these two teams against eachother this season.
Both Carlos and Santi Mina have been the hottest scorers for Al Shabab in the last five each having scored 2 goals each. Hussain Al Issa and Botía are the top scorers for Al Wahda in the last 5 matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats.
