Daegu vs Seoul Match Preview


Week 33 brings us a match on Sep 18th where Daegu will host Seoul in a meeting of these two evenly matched K-League 1 teams. 10th placed Daegu is fresh off their 2-2 draw against Jeju United. Kim Ju-Gong scored the first goal for Jeju United in the 22nd minute on a penalty, then Jin added another in the 46th minute. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having lost 6 of their last 10, while seoul is fresh off their 1-0 shutout win against Gangwon. Young-Wook Cho struck first for Seoul in the 74th minute on a feed from Kang, and with that single goal the scoring was complete. Neither team could manage anything else In the end, Gangwon couldn’t muster any offence and Seoul ran away with the shutout win. Seoul is looking for direction having 4 win and 3 losses in their last 10 matches.

In their last match together, Seoul was victorious by a score of 2 to 1. Ko Jae-Hyun scored the first goal for Daegu in the 54th minute, then Na Sangho tied it up for Seoul in the 64th minute But fortunately they were able to complete the comaback in the 96th minute on a goal by Stanislav Iljutcenko.

Stanislav Iljutcenko has been the most prolific scorer on Seoul in his last 5 matches with 2 goals. Daegu is having problems scoring lately. Their top scorers, Lim Sang-Hyub and Zeca each only have 1 goal in their last five.
