Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest Match Preview

In this week 32 match, on Sat Apr 22nd, Liverpool will host Nottingham Forest at Anfield in a meeting of these two Premier League teams. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 9 degrees, so hopefuly the match makes up for the weather. In their last match, 8th placed Liverpool, recorded a 6-1 blowout win against Leeds United. Cody Gakpo scored the first goal for Liverpool in the 35th minute, then Mohamed Salah added another in the 39th minute. Liverpool should be reasonably happy with their recent performance, earning 18 points in their last 10 matches, while in their last match, Nottingham Forest recorded a 0-2 loss against Manchester United. Lucas Fasson dos Santos struck first for Manchester United in the 32nd minute, then Diogo Dalot added another in the 76th minute on a feed from Lucas Fasson dos Santos In the end, Nottingham Forest couldn’t muster any offence and Manchester United ran away with the shutout win. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 3 points in their last 10 matches.

On the 22nd of October, Nottingham Forest hosted Liverpool at the The City Ground in their last match together. Nottingham Forest won by a score of 1 to 0. Taiwo Awoniyi scored the first goal for Nottingham Forest in the 55th minute, and that single goal was all that was necessary as neither team could manage any more scoring In the end, Liverpool was frustrated by Nottingham Forest’s defence and couldn’t put any tallies on the board. Nottingham Forest ended the match with the shutout victory.

Emmanuel Dennis and Brennan Johnson are the top scorers for Nottingham Forest in the last 5 matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats. Liverpool is fortunate enough to have Mohamed Salah in top form. In the last five matches the attacker has scored four goals

Liverpool will be without Luis Díaz, Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keïta, Thiago Alcântara and Calvin Ramsey, while Chris Wood, Moussa Niakhaté, Giulian Biancone, Serge Aurier, Cheikhou Kouyaté, Willy Boly, Renan Lodi, Ryan Yates, Dean Henderson and Omar Richards are unavailable to play for Steve Cooper’s team.
