On Thu Jul 7th, in week 23, UCD will play host to Bohemians in a Premier Division match in the ever popular Dublin derby. The game day is forecasted to be a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 18 degrees, which is great football weather. UCD is fresh off their 0-3 loss against Dundalk. David McMillan struck first for Dundalk in the 51st minute, then Joe Adams added another in the 57th minute In the end, UCD was frustrated by Dundalk’s defence and couldn’t put any tallies on the board. Dundalk ended the match with the shutout victory. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 5 points in their last 10 matches, while in their last match, 6th placed Bohemians, recorded a 2-3 loss against Derry City. Joseph Thomson struck first for Derry City in the 41st minute on a feed from Porter, then Alistair Coote tied it up for Bohemians in the 58th minute , but luckily for Derry City it didn’t end there. They were able to keep scoring to earn themselves the victory. Bohemians is looking for direction having 3 win and 5 losses in their last 10 matches.
UCD and Bohemians last played eachother at the Dalymount Park on the 29th of April. Bohemians was victorious by a score of 3 to 0. Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe scored the first goal for Bohemians in the 43rd minute, then Devoy added another in the 65th minute from the penalty spot In the end, UCD couldn’t muster any offence and Bohemians ran away with the shutout win.
Devoy has been the most prolific scorer on Bohemians in the last five matches with two goals. D. Duffy and Alex Nolan are the top scorers for UCD in the last five matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats.
